Before anything there was the mind of God. Creativity preceded the act of creation. The connection between art and faith is as close as that of the creature to the Creator. Art is the substance of mind, heart, and soul and is therefore a reflection of how the artist perceives, feels about, and relates to the world and his or her concept of God.

Throughout my ministry I have sought to foster the creative arts in worship, performance, exhibition, discussion, and consultation. I have served on the boards of five arts organizations, and have been president of the Berks Arts Council, festival chairman of both the Berks Jazz Fest and the Berks Movie Madness Film Festival, as well as director of Soul Cabaret, a program to introduce international and local performing artists to our local area.

This section reflects my involvement in these areas.
